Vendino Pact - Identical Twins/Niagara 7"

Requested by a visitor a while ago and donated by an anonymous visitor.
Here is the sole release of Vendino Pact from Sheffield. Couldn't find alot of info but they appeared on the classic 'Bouquet Of Steel' comp. album.
'Identical Twins' isn't really my cup of tea: uptempo poppy song with horns. Wonder why they chose this song, to get in the charts?
'Niagara' is 10 times better. Early 80's postpunk what one should expect from Vendino Pact.

Identical Twins/Niagara 7" (Manifesto-MAN1Y-1982)
1. Identical Twins
2. Niagara

Thank you so much! I bought this single in 1983 and loved "Niagara" as much as "Secret Thinking". Both tracks belong to the best that post-punk has to offer! Just great to listen to it again. Identical Twins is not as good, of course, but not a bad song at all. Please keep on! Could you post any of these? Brian Brain, Unexpected Noises. Des Airs, Lunga Notte. V. A., Hicks From The Sticks. Midnight Rags, Werewolf Of London. Mystery Plane, Curse Of The Body Snatcher. Sleepers, Mirror (7"), Painless Nights (Lp). Richard Bone, Brave Tales. Trisomie 21, Chapter IV (unremixed vinyl version!) Thank you!

Can't help you with your requests for the moment. I could ask someone for the Trisomie 21 album. I'll see what I can do.

Secret Thinking was one of our earliest songs and perhaps over produced by Cabaret Voltaire. Identical Twins took on an identity of itself. From memory it began life with similiar theme to Doors Light My Fire . Remember we were also contempories of ABC. Niagara, love it still although drums never sounded right

Vendino Pact were a "university band." That is the members were all students at the university of Sheffield. Lead singer was John something or other. Had a very radical hairstyle, or so we thought. Turns out it was a modified mullet. Oh well ...

Other Sheffield uni bands included Sexual Lotion, whose drummer went on to play with Cabaret Voltaire and Objet D'Art, an all-girl group.
